Her brow arched, at the story the nurse told her. As it stood, Christian had quite the story to tell, to anyone who would listen. He'd only needed five minutes to recount the entire tale, from start to finish. It took the nurse only two, when she cut out the erroneous details. After another few moments of quiet conversation between the nurse and the Headmistress, she moved towards the assembled group, letting the nurse get back to her duties.
"As it stands, you're in that thing for two weeks." She said, with a little smile that was actually quite 'sinister' as far as the woman went. Only Logan would be able to recognize that smile - she was concocting something that would no doubt be a punishment for the both of them... though mostly for Logan. Not much happened that she didn't know about, especially when she had the support of the staff.
"I still want that report, but consider yourself off grounding. However... in two weeks, you'll start combat training sessions." And the kicker? "With Logan." The look she shot Logan meant he wasn't weaseling out of it, either. That would either make or break the kid, if he was truly interested in getting better.
Then, her attention turned to Cassidy. "And you must be Cassidy. Logan hasn't told me much about you, but it seems that you've come to the right place. Your parents are expecting a visit so I'll be taking you home myself in an hour or so, once you've had a little time to digest all of what's happened today." She offered her hand, in a very respectful manner, actually. She wasn't talking down to the girl, nor did she ever do so to the students here. It was why she was so well liked.
At least, among the female population. The males might very well have other reasons for liking her so much.
"I'm sure you have about a hundred questions. We can answer them here, while Nurse Espinoza works on the paperwork."

Two weeks? But hey! At least he was off grounding! True to what Logan had asked him, he would be quiet with Miss Munroe about how he'd acquired the injury, but the fact that she didn't ask probably meant she knew. Either way, he was leaning forward, his good arm supporting his frame, and his 'bad' arm strapped to his chest via a rather professional looking sling. It would hold it in place so that his shoulder wouldn't hurt - a preventative measure, so that he didn't deal any more damage to it.
For the most part, though, he felt fine, though he couldn't help the smile that broke out along his face as she meted out her sentence - Logan would be working with him! Which was a good thing, in his eyes, Logan was a pretty scary fighter, and it meant that Miss Munroe might be trusting him a little more.
Plus, what better way to get him back for making him drive that motorcycle in the first place?
Two weeks would seem like forever, but for now, he was willing to wait it out. Glancing back to Cassidy, he had to grin. "I'm guessin' you could stay here with us if you wanted! It'd be cool. Plus, we'd make a wicked team. I could see stuff, describe it, and you could make it real." As if he hadn't given thought to that already?
He was practically prickly with anticipation. This was bound to be a good thing, in the end.

Logan stood beside the kid as he glanced back at Storm. He gave slight nods as he listened to their conversation. His heart did a flip then sank down below his stomach, betting hard and fast. "Oh N-." Logan was cut off by Storms glance. He hated that look that she gave him. It always meant there was no way to back out of it all. He gave a soft growl under his breath, disapproving her thoughts as he turned his back on the kid, thinking to himself. This kid would be hard to train. He didn't have the physical mass yet to hold himself up in combat. He always wanted his students to have a certain starting point so he didn't have to put them through weight training, but it looked like it was going to happen this time around, which he wasn't too thrilled about.
He walked over and took a seat by the door, watching the others rustle in and out of the room. He closed his eyes slightly as he sighed, taking in the days events. Their forces were getting stronger and they needed a plan, very soon.

Cassidy's thoughts were initially broken by the touch on her shoulder by Logan. She hadn't expected such an action from a guy who was very obviously not sentimental. At the same time it was a pleasant surprise. She'd needed that.
As her attention faded from how much her life had changed, she noticed the dark skinned woman with white hair walk into the room. She spoke to Christian first, who's arm was now strapped to his chest with a sling. Cassidy found her attention fading again as this conversation went on, right up until Christian pulled her back in. She gave him a smile, "Yeah, cool."
A part of her didn't feel it though. Now that the initial excitement of the moment was wearing off she was scared and confused by what had happened. So much had changed for her, and yet the world would hardly notice or care that it had happened.
Yet, these people did care, as Cassidy realized when the white-haired woman turned to her. She tentatively reached out and took the hand the woman extended toward her. "Yes, I'm Cassidy. Thank you. This is.... well, it's a lot to take in at once. Plus my parents have never been thrilled by the whole mutation issue so it's not going to be fun. I'll probably have to stay here. I'm almost worried they'll disown me."
For a moment she contemplated mentioning Cody, but he would be safe for now and Christian would be watching him. Besides, no doubt the woman would bring that up if she did or else she would want to stop by and visit Cody and that would end up getting mentioned to her parents anyways. She didn't want them to know about him, not until telling them was unavoidable. It would change everything for him too, and she didn't want to do that to him. Not before things changed on their own if it was possible.

She glanced at Cassidy, listening as the girl stated the depressing, albeit truthful, inevitability of life as a mutant. Her cropped white tresses formed a small nod, and she gave a reassuring squeeze to the younger girl's hand. Rarely did a what-if cross her mind, but it now seemed to march in, multiplying, one after the other. Powerless to stop the flow of questions, she felt her thoughts wander. What if her parents had not been killed in that botched aircraft attack? Would they have been among the numerous humans that mocked her? Or were they mutants themselves? For the life of her, she could not remember. It did not seem likely that they were. Why must a war rage between mutants and humans, and why did homosapians feel it was their responsibility to discover a "cure"?
Shaking her head, she turned back toward the man of steel. "Logan, why don't you fill Christian in on what will be expected of him at the school? Cassidy and I have to be on our way." She was not exactly sure how she was going to handle the chat with Cassidy's parents, and wished to know how the Professor would act. She knew he would attempt to explain it in a calm, soothing manner, but although it was unusual for her to become infuriated to the point of being without any way to simmer down, she was slightly nervous about regaining her optimistic exterior should the word "mutant" be treated as if it were a disease.
She threw a look around the neighborhood, and tried to pinpoint the location of Cassidy's parents. Unfortunately for her, she had never acquired the skill of finding, and so she returned her gaze to the girl. "Cassidy, dear? Which way?" [/size]
