Last stop on their trip would be the medical ward, where he'd make sure they fixed his arm. Or, since of course there weren't any magical healers on campus, make it so it didn't hurt more. He hoped Logan was going to go tell Miss Munroe - this little trip hadn't exactly been 'scheduled', either. Not to mention, Chris hadn't seen the television helicopter that had been initially covering traffic before it saw... well... them.
Either way, Chris' attention was back on the mansion. "Truth be told I've never actually walked the whole place before, I just kinda looked around, if you know what I mean." He said with a half laugh.
She had said something very powerful, though. She was worried about her parents, and the rest of her family... which was commendable. She didn't know her own mutation, so she couldn't protect them particularly well, either - even if she did find it out, fledgling mutants rarely had control in a place where it should be.
Of course, Chris was an exemption to the rule on that floor.
"Well... if it's any help, this is a great place. We're all mutants here, and we're not that far from your house..." The part he wouldn't admit, of course, was that had he not seen it in the future, there would have been no way they could have saved her. Not in a self-righteous way, just... if he hadn't Looked, they could not have breached the gap in time, even if they had found her on cerebro. Well, they had that jet, of course.
Maybe.
He started walking, still holding his bad arm up. All in all, he was taking the dislocation thing in stride. It hurt like the dickens, but he knew how and where not to turn - though the motorcycle ride back had been hell. "It's a big building... where would you want to start?" He asked, finally deciding that Logan had probably sent him on this 'mission' to keep them both distracted while he made some calls.
Well, he hoped Logan was that responsible, at least.

Cassidy's questions about her family had needed to wait until after the motorcycle ride to.... well, she wasn't quite sure where they were. It was the safe place Christian had talked about and looked like a large mansion from the outside.
Logan turned to leave, instructing Christian in a gruff voice to show Cassidy around. He also said he didn't know if her cousins were out of the picture or not, that he'd find out when he called her parents. She was suddenly very scared for Ty and Cody. She had visions of one of them being surrounded like she had been. What would happen to them if one of them was a mutant and the sentinels got their hands on him?
Her thoughts were, probably fortunately, interrupted by Christian's voice. Everyone in this place was a mutant apparently, like Logan, and Christian.... and me, Cassidy thought. And like Cody and Tyler might be. How do I know? But he did have a point, it wasn't that far from home. They'd moved to New York a while ago, all three families, and Cody and Tyler lived close to her so they could get them before the sentinels.... or they at least had a chance. "Yeah, you're right. It's just hard not knowing if they'll be safe. My cousins are like brothers to me. If either one of them got captured by the sentinels.... do you guys even know what happens?"
Christian asked her where she wanted to go first in the place, and she had to stop and think. She didn't even really know what this was or what it held for her to see. "Well, for starters where are we? I don't even know what this place is, so I have no clue where to go."
She turned around, glancing at where they'd parked the motorcycle. The one good thing about this place was that it was safe. If either of her cousins were potentially mutants, he could come here and be safe with her.... as long as the sentinels didn't find out and grab him first.

Logan hated this part of the job. He turned sharply to the left once he stepped inside the large oak doors, taking a nice wood finished stair case up to the top floor of the school. Venturing down the hallway, his boots crunching on the soft carpet, he reached the door of the Headmistress, Ororo Munroe, or better known as Storm to him. He gave a slight knock on the door, trying to signal her attention. She didn't answer. Typical.... He tried once again, but still no answer. He barged in, the room empty of any human life and only consisting of a wall of bookcases, filled to the brim, and a large oak desk. Walking over to the desk, he leaned over, picking up a pen and a post-it note from the neatly aligned organizer. He wrote, 'Need to speak with you, Urgent....Logan' on the not and taped it to where she could see.
He stormed out and ran down the stairs to the second floor. He took a right, opening a door, and stepping inside his old office. It was exactly how he left it, dusty and dirty. He pushed off a stack of ungraded papers, landing them straight in the garbage pail. He grabbed the old phone, brushing the slight dust off of it as he held the one end to his ear, using the other to dial her parents out of the phone book. The phone rang a few times before an woman picked up. "Yes Ma'am this is Logan Howlett with The Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters, we request your daughters enrollment here immediatly." He tried to be polite but the girl yelled at him harshly through the phone. This is why he isn't a people person.

She sighed at the note hastily scribbled on her desk, and, after having her initial shock at seeing her door flung open, shook her head. This was precisely like Logan. Luckily, though she wasn't quite as patient as the Professor, she was patient nonetheless. She made her way down to his old office - or rather, his current office, now, and stepped inside, carefully knocking when she noted he was on the phone.
Of course, she could hear the irate woman on the other end from where she stood, no need for special hearing here. And, she'd arrived just in time to hear him talking about 'enrollment'. He'd literally missed her by a minute or so, which was the only reason she'd followed behind so quickly - shutting her door properly when she left, as well.
Her brow quirked slightly at him, a half smile tugging one corner of her lip up. She was trying hard not to laugh - he looked like a wet puppy holding the phone like that. Doing something he desperately didn't want to do.
"If you had waited a little, I would probably be doing that right now, wouldn't I?" She asked, her voice incapable of containing the smile. "Want to tell me what's going on? Hopefully nothing that I'll be seeing on the television tonight, right?" She asked again, though of course, she made sure she spoke only when the yelling on the other end had dimmed to silence.

He looked at her for a second, before shrugging. She knew where they were at least in location, so what could a name hurt? "Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters." He said, his voice calm. Though at this point, he had finally decided that the med bay was not going to be the last stop, it would certainly be the primary destination. His arm was throbbing now, without any sort of adrenaline to dull the pain.
But, they would pass all sorts of interesting places on the way! That was at least still counting as 'showing her around', right?
"Truth is... I don't. I mean, I try to not use my powers all the time for every thing... but... I could always find out." He said, quietly. That, certainly would be frowned upon by Miss Munroe and the faculty, no doubt. They had the student's best interest in mind - or so they said - and they'd freak out if they found out he was looking for the Sentinels, rather than for something else.
He would be giving that some thought, though.
He started down the main hallway, knowing exactly where he was heading. The elevator for the subbasement. Nevertheless. "This is like a big private school. They teach us stuff here - well, okay. They teach us, but I haven't actually started classes yet, I just got here a couple of days ago myself." He started Monday, though! That was close.
He walked on. "But they teach stuff like how to control our powers and when we should use'm. And all the stuff about... interaction and whatnot. That's easier for some, in my opinion." He was talking about Beast, of course... he probably had a hard time of it.

The yelling got to the point to where it started to hurt Logan's ears. He held the talking end of the phone out beside him, still being able to clearly hear what she was saying. He gave a sigh, trying to keep from biting the woman's head off. His thoughts about that were interrupted as there was a gently knock on the door. he peered out the glass to see Storm standing there, a soft smile on her face. God, he had never been happier to see her in his life! He gestured for her to walk in and she did so. He sat the phone on the desk as he stood up. 'Well be my guest and take over!" He chuckled moving to the wine red leather guest chair that sat in front of his desk. He plopped down gently as he watched her take his place at the phone.
'I'll explain after you're done" He whispered, his fingers on his left rubbing the spaces between his knuckles on the right. He was starting to get pain back in them, something that happened to him the first few years after his 'enhancements'. He sighed gently as he switched hands, still listening intently to their conversation.

Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters, that rang a bell in Cassidy's head for another reason. It was the home of the fabled X-Men. Though, being a mutant Cassidy wouldn't have preferred finding herself in other hands. And they taught kids to control their mutant abilities, so this was the perfect place for her.
It was when she mentioned classes that she had a bit of a metaphorical light bulb go off in her head. "I was in class when the pegasus showed up. Something I did while taking notes for my paper on mythology must have to do with my power."
She turned to Christian quick. "You could look, right? You could see what my power is by looking at the moment I activated it." Her eyes lit up. "And you could see if my cousins are mutants. They were walking with me just before you and Logan and the sentinels showed up, so you could see who they are from that.
She looked down now. "You will look, won't you? I need to know, both what I can do and if there's a chance we need to be ready to save either of my cousins. The incident I keep mentioning with the pegasus happened a week ago during my English class, if knowing a more exact time to look at helps track my power down." Her eyes were pleading with him. Before she worried about the tour she had to get her mind off of her cousins and her power. The unanswered questions would nag her otherwise.

It took her a moment to find her composure. After all, the scene was rather amusing, and she was still just human. Figuratively speaking. She approached the phone, and lifted it to her ear like a special friend.
"Ma'am... yes, this is Ororo Munroe, the Headmistress here at Xavier Institute. I apologize for the brash nature of the phone call - we did not mean to startle you. I think that... in the end, it would be much easier for us to meet in person." Her words were quiet and calm. This was certainly an instant where a little white lie would be rewarded. "I'll be there in an hour. Hmm? No, no, it's not a problem. I just need to make sure I have an information packet handy."
After a few more moments of listening to the now-less-loud woman, she nodded. "Yes, of course. She is a very gifted student - she was visiting the campus today with a few other students in a private field trip. She... tested very well. She asked if we could bring her home, as well. No, that's not a problem either. We'll be there soon. All right. Goodbye, Mrs. Blaine."
Soothing voice and agreeable words always won battles like that, even with the irate. She was no Xavier, of course, but she was quite persuasive when she needed to be.
She leaned against the desk as she hung up the phone, crossing her arms over her chest expectantly.
"Alright, Logan... I'm all ears."

He seemed a little startled by her sudden request. After all, it wasn't every day... that entire days like this happened. He bit his lip uncertainly, his eyes suddenly very focused on her. "Cassidy..." He said, but... he knew the value of information. After all, Emma herself had told him that it was not just a weapon, but a tool. Information had many facets, and all of them... well...
Some of them were nice.
"Alright, Cassidy. I can do that." He said, with a grin. He took a second to orient himself, before letting his eyes do like they did. They got a far-off look, as though perhaps he was peering right through her. And, for lack of a better term, he was. He couldn't find the exact time of day immediately, so he was watching the day in fast forward - leaving a few bits out, knowing full and well that was not when this occurence happened.
There it was.
His vision was full of a grand-looking Pegasus. He froze the world in his eyes. It was almost like walking around the world, when he was Looking, though it was never quite that, either. She hadn't yet noticed the creature - and a pen was scribbling furiously on paper - or would have been, if he hadn't 'stopped' her.
Focus turned to the paper.
"You were writing about it." He said, though he was obviously not back yet.
She'd just ended her sentence. "You just finished a sentence about it. I stopped everything the second it... materialized. You literally just finished a sentence. Your attention... it's all there. That might be it." He said, though he was looking steps forward in to the vision as if to see if there were any other possible sources.
He saw nothing of the sort. The beast was definitely hers.
His eyes resumed focus on her. "I think whatever you write comes true." He finally said, with a bit of a nod. That was an incredible talent, if he was right. Closing his eyes for a second, he shot forward in to the future, and confirmed it. Yeah. "Yeah. That's definitely it." Though he wouldn't say why. Spoiling the future and all.
After a second, he resumed that dull, observant look. He went back to the prior vision he'd seen, with Cassidy and her cousins. Rather than looking through their future, he just looked deep in to them.
"Tyler's a human. But Cody..." He bit his lip. "He's one of us. But his X-gene is still dormant." Ah, the wonders of his eyes. He'd looked at them at a genetic level, so that he wouldn't have to invade any personal privacy or anything like that. After all, he knew what the genetic marker for mutant DNA looked like - he'd seen it enough before.
"They wouldn't go after him until it was awake... at least." He said, with a certainty he didn't feel on the inside. He looked at her, as if wondering what she was going to do about it.

Christian looked uncertain about looking for a moment. Cassidy thought he might say no. In the case of her power it didn't bother her so much. In the case of her cousins, though, it would have bothered her a great deal if he'd refused to look. But the uncertainty faded and he smiled, telling her he'd look.
She didn't know what to expect at first. Then his eyes got a sort of distant look to them. He was looking right at her, and yet his eyes seemed to be seeing something completely different than what was in front of them. She waited, wondering what her past had to say about her present, about her being here at the school for mutants.
What he said.... it was kind of obvious and yet not what she'd expected. She'd been taking notes on mythology at the time it had been summoned, specifically about the pegasus. I just finished the sentence.... and I wasn't the first to notice the pegasus. It had been there for a while before I finally saw it. Can I really write things into existence? Christian soon confirmed this, though how she wasn't quite sure.
"That's so... weird and yet cool at the same time. But I guess it does make things harder. My power works through writing, and that might cause problems even in a school like this if I can't control it." But she wasn't entirely sure Christian was paying attention to her. His vision had returned to the garage for a minute and then gone distant again. He was Looking at something else now. It had to be seeing whether her cousins were mutants.
Christian confirmed that was what he'd been Looking at moments later, reporting on what he'd seen. Tyler was human, but he paused before giving the report on Cody. He bit his lip and told her the news. Cody was a mutant, just one with a dormant power. Cody, her protector for as long as she could remember, was potentially in danger, though hopefully not just yet. Not until his power revealed itself.
She sighed, biting her lip with a momentary worried look on her face before she let it go. He was, in all likelihood, safe for now. Even if his power did show up soon, the could get him as quickly as her if all went well. She gave Christian a smile. "Thanks Christian. I was kind of hoping they'd both be safe, but even just knowing Cody is one means there's more chance we can save him when the time comes. He's been my protector forever, and looks like now I get to protect him."
She glanced around again. "So. This is a school? I guess first stop should be somewhere to fix your arm. I noticed how you fell and that you haven't moved it since. Something's obviously wrong there. Once that's done I'd like to see whoever is in charge and see if they've contacted my parents yet." She winced as she thought about that. "They're probably going to freak when they find out." Her parents weren't huge fans of the mutants. Knowing their daughter was one... well, this wasn't going to go well.

Logan listened intently to her as she spoke to the frantic woman on the phone. He could see the playful smirk on Storm's face from his little 'act' earlier. He didn't get mad at it really. Logan was finding himself to grow more and compassionate each and every day, which was very unlike him. He gave a sigh as he took into consideration all of the events that took place during his leave. Maybe that was the cause of all his niceness these past couple of days he had been back. His nightmares were getting better though. Jean was starting to become a fading memory to him, though he didn't want her too. It was his healing factor that put metal blocks in his brain.
He snapped out of his little trace when she spoke directly to him. "Sorry,"He apologized gruffly for his little slip there. "The Kid, Christian, had a vision of Cassidy getting abducted by Sentinels. He rushed and got me and we took off in search for her. When we found her it was almost too late. He got off the bike and saved her while I took down the two sentinels." He took a deep breath, the first one he had gotten since the whole ordeal. He was glad for once just to sit down, though he knew that this wouldn't be the last fight he would be getting involved in.

He brows furrowed, immediately, when he said Christian was the one who had seen the whole thing go down. It meant, of course, that he'd done a great deal of good - but that didn't mean he didn't go against what she'd asked. Still, under the circumstances, it could be forgiven; someone's life was worth more than a punishment. That much was obvious. She'd still have a talk with him about that later, though. Perhaps she'd let him off the hook early for that bit of bravery.
"As long as everyone is all right." She said, with a nod. The actions had been reckless, but Logan could handle himself well in the field. She wasn't worried about that. She was more worried that the girl would be frightened at the whole situation. After all, what a way to be introduced in to the mutant community, right?
"Let's go find the two of them, and see what we can see. I know you may want a bit of rest, but... we both know you can handle it." She said, with a half smile as she pushed away from the desk. "Thank you - for going with him, I mean. For saving the girl. I think he's one of those kids that will get himself in a lot of trouble one day because he thinks the future is set in stone. If he'd gone on his own, that would have been much sooner than later."
Her voice was calm, but it was full of gratitude. Logan was embracing his place here with a bit of unexpected - but greatly appreciated enthusiasm. With that, she started out the door. "Do you know where they went?" She asked, curiously, waiting for him to join her.

That was easy. His eyes flicked to the right for a second, as he hunted through the building. Miss Munroe and Logan were in his office, Miss Munroe was just hanging up. That was good for them, at least. "I think Miss Munroe just got off the phone with your folks. They're in Logan's office, and she just hung up." Though, he wouldn't admit it, he was wildly thankful that she suggested they go to the medical bay.
He started the proper direction - luckily, it wasn't that far of a walk. Still, he pondered what she said in his head. "I don't mind keepin' an eye on him for you if you want. I mean, I know how important family can be - and you're right. Now that we know he'll wake up one mornin' like us... it'll be easier to talk to him about it when that day comes. Maybe he'll want to come here, too." He replied, with an easy smile.
When they reached the medical bay, he let out an easy sigh as one of the attendants fussed for a few minutes.
"Dislocated, nothing majorly bad." She said, before nodding. "We'll have you fixed up in no time."
No time would give Logan and Storm plenty of time to catch up.

Christian's eyes went all distant again, and Cassidy had to wonder what he was Looking at. She didn't have to wonder for long as he spoke in a few moments, his eyes returning to their focus on their surrounding. Miss Munroe, whoever that was, had just gotten off the phone, most likely with Cassidy's parents. From the sound of that, Miss Munroe was the head of the school. "God that had to be hell. My parents aren't huge fans of the whole quote-unquote "Mutant Issue". Finding out I'm a mutant is gonna make them freak. Finding out Cody is one is going to be as bad, though Aunt Tess and Uncle Matt are more accepting about this. Same goes for Uncle Ethan and Aunt Sara, Tyler's parents. She sighed and rolled her eyes. "It's just me with parents who won't like it."
As they started walking toward the infirmary, Christian said something that cheered Cassidy up a little. "If you wouldn't mind doing that, I'd appreciate it. You don't have to watch him all the time, just check in on him once and a while so we know if his mutant-gene has become active as soon as possible. I just.... I don't want to take the chance that he'll get caught by those sentinels rather than us saving him." She smiled, feeling like she might have already made a friend here. "Thanks for understanding."
By now they'd reached their destination, and Cassidy waited on the sidelines as someone started taking care of Christian's arm. She had a lot to think about right now anyways, with how everything had changed in so short a time. It was a lot to take in, and she kind of needed to take it all in since things weren't going back to how they had been.

Logan gave a soft nod. He was glad she didn't go off. It was one thing to be afraid of making a black girl mad, but when that black girl has superhuman powers of lightning and your almost 100 percent metal....Yeah, not such a good idea to make her mad. He started to make his way for the door, stepping out to turn and wait for her as she talked. He gave another soft nod. "It's no problem Storm. I might seem hateful and all, but I wouldn't let a kid risk his life without me getting a piece of the action." He grinned at his little joke, his slightly sharpened canines making him look rougher than normal. He turned and started to walk with her down the hall, his steel toe boots crunching the carpet softly.
They took a few twists and turns as they walked. "I sent him to the Med Bay" he told her as they kept walking. They hit the Medical Bay. Christian was already being tended to, which made Logan's heart rest just a bit. The kid took a pretty hard fall, but he was getting tough like Logan. Soon he wouldn't even notice it. He walked over to Cassidy, giving her a pat on the shoulder and a reassuring smile. He then went off to check on Christian. "Hey Kid." He said as he waited for Storm to reach over. "Don't mention the motorcycle bit." he whispered quickly in his ear.
