Madelyne took a deep breath as she approached the main gate. She had looked up the information about this place days ago, yet was now on their doorstep for the first time. It wasn't like it was even terribly far away from where she lived. Ultimately, she hadn't visited sooner because she was scared. After all she wasn't even sure if they could help her or even if they could help her. After all it was supposed to be a school wasn't it? Wasn't she a bit too old to be coming here? All the same though, she didn't have many other options if what she had found was true.
The Xavier Institute of the Gifted. If what Madelyne had heard and found out was correct, this was a school that was for mutants. However, she wasn't even sure if she was a mutant herself. Of course, she had just recently discovered she could read thoughts or project her own, as well as lift objects with her mind, so there was evidence that clearly pointed to that being the case. However, mutants typically had powers from birth or during puberty. It was almost unheard of for powers to develop later in life. Madelyne had her powers for about only a year. When it was all said and done it was all very confusing and she hoped the school could provide some answers.
Taking another deep breath, Madelyne continued past the gate and walked through the front yard, on her way to the entrance of the school. She looked around, really liking the scenery. It was a very pretty area and relaxing as well. It helped put her at ease a little bit. Maybe this would go better than she thought it would.

Bobby hadn't known what to do. He just knew he'd needed to clear his head a little, and the first thing that had come to mind was a jog. He had, admittedly, been pouring himself into training lately, but that would start to look suspicious. He had things he hadn't mastered, but people would start questioning his single-mindedness about training. To be honest, between his wanting to learn things he could do better and his needing distractions from how things with Anna were going downhill... training had become an obsession. He'd needed to do something else, to get out, and so he'd changed into shorts and a sleeveless shirt and gone for a jog around the grounds of the school.
He was rounding the side with the front gate as he noticed a woman coming in. He wouldn't have really payed that much attention to her, but he did look at her and what he saw made him do a double-take and nearly trip over his own feet. It looked just like... and yet it couldn't be her... She’d survived the one time, come back to life, but there was no way she could have survived the battle at Alcatraz. Logan had killed her. However, that left one question. Who was this woman coming through the front yard on the way to the school? And Red looked like Jean too? Younger, yes, but the resemblance was uncanny. How?... Why were they finding these Jean look-alikes? That was two in a matter of months.
He shook of this feeling of strangeness in her appearance, and decided his best move was to be nice. She had come here for a reason. The right move would be to try and help her. So he jogged up to her and said, “Hi. My name is Bobby. I’m one of the students here. Are you looking for someone?”
Ok, that was kind of advertising to someone who knew the true purposes of the academy that he was a mutant, but this woman didn’t seem to care about that. She was, after all, walking up to the front door. She had a reason for being here. And truth be told, if it was hostile he could probably handle himself anyways.

As Madelyne approached the entrance way she noticed a boy who appeared to be just starting out for a job or something. When he happened upon her he seemed to stumble for a moment. She wondered why, was it because of her? She wasn't quite sure though now he was headed her way. He introduced himself as Bobby and that he was one of the students here. He also asked if she was looking for someone as well. Well, she was kind of. She just wasn't entirely sure who she was looking for.
Though she couldn't help but notice that the kid kind of looked like he had seen a ghost. Madelyne wasn't sure what that was about, but didn't think much about it. "Hello, Bobby. I'm Madelyne. You can call me Maddie if you want though," she said introducing herself. She paused for a moment thinking about how exactly to answer his question. "I guess I kind of am. I'm looking more for answers rather than a specific person. This school helps..." she stopped for a minute, not wanting to outright say mutant in case that was in poor taste or something like that. "...the gifted. I've recently found out I am... gifted. This seems to be really the only place with answers, so here I am," She gave a small smile. "I have a feeling I'm too old to be a student though," she joked. Hopefully that was enough to help point her in the right direction.
