Hello to one and all!
As I see that the current family of X-men Resurrection is still small yet stable, I would like to rein you in on one of the story arcs here in the site. Take note, I said one of the story arcs here in the site...I didn't say that it's one of "the" sites major story arcs. The former is to give clarification on the confusion about my character Red and the latter is for the members, as they alone can shape the major story arc of the site.
Anyway, regarding my main character Red...many have implied that she is indeed Jean and one has even said they were "sure" that Red was Jean. I don't blame them as there are lots of factors that led them to believe this fact. Before I divulge the similarities, I would like to reiterate that this site is LOOSELY based on the movies AND comics.
Similarities:
1. Although Famke Jannsen and Mandy Moore don't look alike...I've implied here in the site that during Jean Grey's (played by Famke Jannsen)teen years...she looked exactly like Red(played by Mandy Moore) to almost like a deadringer(see the irony? lol).
2. Red first emerged (with no memories if I may add) in Alcatraz (in this thread: click here) where Jean Grey was stabbed by Wolverine.
3. Red possesses the same telekinetic power as Jean does and even demonstrated the same level of power by demolecularizing a Sentinel in the same thread mentioned in #2. Though Red doesn't possess telepathy as of the moment...who really knows?
4. It has been hinted by some of the characters like Ororo, Iceman, Rogue(key players in X-men) that she looked, sounded and even felt familiar.
5. It is clear that Red is also possessed by the Phoenix Force as was seen in this thread: click here
Now, the reason why I posted this is to prevent confusion, to set things straight and to create more confusion. Lol...
The phoenix force is more based on the comicverse than in the movies. In the movies, Professor Xavier explained that The Phoenix is an alternate personality of Jean Grey due to some complications to her powers. But in the comic-verse, the phoenix force is considered as an entirely different being...an existence that can operate on it's own without necessarily being independent on a person. For more information...you can always check wikipedia(it may not be a 100% accurate but information is close to reliable) Anyway, in the course of it's life in the comicverse, the phoenix force has possessed a multitude of Greys.
Greys including Jean Grey, then her daughter in an alternate future, Rachel Grey Summers...and then there's Hope Summers.

Now...as for WHO my character Red really is? That is for me to know and for you to find out.
Yours truly,
Red <3
