Laura sighed in relief when she found the gates of the Xavier Institute. She had wondered if she had been going in the wrong direction, but the man she had asked for directions had pointed her the right way after all. She usually would have a map, and that would have been more then enough to get her here except the school wasn't on a map you could buy from a gas station. She didn't have access to the computer so she had to depend on others to led her the right way. That was definitely something she was not used too. She walked up to the gates with her duffel bag in hand. All she had in the bag was stuff she had stolen such as clothes, shoes, money, and other necessities. It wasn't like she had money so she could get the stuff legally. She had not felt any remorse for her actions when she stole the items nor would she feel remorse at any point as she had done what was needed to survive. She tossed the duffel bag over the gate as the dang thing was closed. She'd have to climb it which would be extremely easy. She climbed over the gate and hit the ground. She picked up her duffel bag, and walked towards the front door. She knew she had likely tripped an alarm, but honestly she didn't care. She'd either have to knock on the front door to get someone's attention or someone would come because she had triggered an alarm. She still wasn't sure about coming here. Sarah had written this was a safe haven for mutants, and that the man who founded it never turned someone away. Sarah had also written that Weapon X was here. To her that had been enough reason to come here, but now that she thought about it she wasn't sure if she could handle it. She heard Xavier was a peaceful man, and hated violence. She figured that if he were to turn anyone away it would be her. She was also concerned about seeing Weapon X for the first time. She barely felt emotions, but when Weapon X was brought up she felt an extreme hatred. She held no doubt in her mind that he was responsible for what she went through. He was also responsible for what her mother, sisters, and brothers went through. She wondered if she would have the ability to control herself so she wouldn't attack him. Outfit: hereWords: 420

Christian was nothing if not ridiculously outgoing when he was in a good mood, and, despite the activities of the previous day, he was trying very hard to be in a good mood. Rubbing his hands over his wrist, he Looked around, doing his usual rounds. Though he was terribly exhausted - he hadn't slept the night before, and he still had to get up for classes - he was doing his best to pretend.
While he wasn't so good at lying, he was fine at pretending certain things. Like, happiness, or that everything was fine when his guts were trying to claw their way out of him. Things were not okay in paradise - but you couldn't tell by looking at him.
He blinked, a bit, as he Saw her coming up the main walk. Most people drove - but here she was, crossing on foot. It was weird - but this place wasn't the best place for normality to prosper. With a hesitant thought, he checked the foyer, and saw that no one was there to greet her. His nose twitched a bit, as he weighed his options. After another blink, he rewound her movements, and saw her... hopping the gate. His brows furrowed.
She wasn't expected. That... was waaay unusual.
It would be absolutely no problem for him to pretend he'd never seen her. But he also knew exactly how lonely it could feel, coming to this place for the first time. It was a home, in its own right, sure. But it wasn't your home, no matter who you were. At least, that's how he felt.
Shrugging in to a shirt, and tugging on a pair of jeans, he decided against the nap. He located his cell phone ( it had fallen into a pile of socks on the floor, next to his clothes basket ) and wondered who he should call. Finally, he just sent a text out to Logan. It read simply: Potential break in at the front door.
He realized that it was probably not the case the moment after he sent it. You didn't break in during broad daylight. He smacked his forehead, and hurried to the foyer.
Despite his intimate knowledge of the house, it had never occurred to him that she might have already alerted everyone who had a reason to know of her presence. This place was the next best thing to a bunker, most of the time. He rubbed his nose, and opened the door for her.
"Hello, there!" He said, as cheerfully as he could. "Um." Whoops. Door etiquette was failing him, for some reason. "Uh. Hi! Are you meeting someone today?" Well, at least he was straightforward about it. "I'm Christian, and I am really bad at answering the door." He added, mostly to make sure the mood stayed light.
He glanced in to the future - just a peek - and was relieved to see that Logan would indeed be joining them.

He had been resting peacefully for once. It wasn't often the gruff man was sleeping and when he did get a chance at it, he rather enjoyed it. About a half an hour into his nap, the phone at his bedside rang a loud buzz; text alert it said 'Possible break in' or something like that at the front gate. Even asleep he knew someone real stupid would have to be breaking in at the day time, but if Christian was going to check it out, he was sure that it wasn't that big of a threat. However, as a teacher here and a guardian of those who lived here he needed to check it out. Gathering himself, he slipped on a pair of casual blue jeans, his white tank top and headed out to see what the ruckus was about.
He walked through the various halls receiving differing comments and looks; "Hey Professor Logan!" to glares of dislike, and even looks away. Some students thought he was too hard on them, and he didn't mind the hate. In the end he knew it would benefit every one of them in life when things got hot and they needed the training and advice from a hardass they would be glad he was around. Finally reaching the large front doors he forced them open and took his strides out to the front yard. What their 'intruder' was, seemed to be just another probable mutant who'd found her way to Charles safe haven.
"This what you woke me up for kid?" Scratching his skull, an itch presenting itself, he then took his steps over to the new girl reaching out for her bags. "Names Logan, and that's Christian, though I'm sure he already told you that." The least he could do was take her bags and show her around with the kid in tow to talk to her. He'd have to bring her in to see Ororo, Hank, and the others as well as meet with Emma. What was gonna be a lazy day had just become a more task filled day. He needed to fill out papers, and eventually get her situated into classes. Emma could bring up the topic of what powers she had anyways.

Before she could even knock on the door a young boy opened it wide. He seemed to be expecting her. He must be able to see into the future. At least to an extent, or perhaps someone else told him she was coming. She doubted this however as if that was the case they would have sent an adult of sorts not a young boy. That is also why she had quickly ruled out that he had seen her on a security monitor. She figured if anyone were to be watching such a thing it would be an adult since that was how it usually worked.
The boy was an odd one she was certain of that. He stated that he was bad at answering the door. How could one be bad at answering a door? He was no a young child surely he had enough brains to be able to handle answering a door. Then as she thought about it she realized he might be telling a joke. Well if he was she didn't really get it. She wasn't used to hearing jokes, but she had always figured they would be funnier then this. Perhaps he was bad at answering doors and jokes?
Before she could answer his question she caught a scent very similar to her own the only difference is that it was more masculine then her own scent. She knew who the scent had to belong to Weapon X. Of that there was no doubt in her mind. Then Weapon X came to the door. He looked exactly the same as he did in the photograph that her mother had given her of Xavier and Logan. She could feel the anger rise. She wasn't used to feeling let alone experiencing a feeling so strong. It was almost over whelming.
She fought to keep a straight face when Logan introduced himself. She would not lose herself to her instincts which were screaming at her to attack him. She clinched her duffel bag straps so tightly her hands were turning red. She had noticed he had extended his hands to take her bag, but she wasn't going to give it to him. She took a calming breath and said, "My name is Laura. I will carry my own bag Weapon X. Your assistance is not needed. I am looking for Charles Xavier." She had said all of this with a completely blank face. The only thing that gave her feelings away was the glare she showed when she looked at Weapon X or Logan as he called himself. She wondered if she sounded unusual. When she had lived with Megan briefly the girl had always said she had a formal even robotic way of speaking, and that this made her stand out. Perhaps over time she'd be able to change that.

After a few seconds of boiling quiet, where he thought she might think him a lunatic, Logan made his appearance. Chris looked at her - there was tension in her face, and he glanced to Logan, who made an off-color remark about being woken up for this.
"Hey!" He looked at him, considered giving him a playful punch, decided he rather liked his hand where it was, and stuck his tongue out instead. Almost in a flash, the tongue vanished too - he liked where that was, as well. "People are important! It's important for us to keep an eye out for people. Besides, she totally hopped the fence. I didn't know!" So he turned, almost huffily, though he was smiling a bit.
Then, she threw a big curve-ball. She called Logan 'Weapon X' - and Christian knew that name. Almost immediately, he looked back at her, and his eyes glazed a second, so he could change his perspective. Logan might recognize that look. Chris was accessing his power, so that he could look past her - into her past.
"Professor Xavier died a little while back." Christian responded, a touch of sadness in his voice. He'd never met the man, and he had really wished he'd had. After a second, Chris paused, realizing that he was doing something that might... might be considered a vast invasion of privacy. His gaze narrowed on her. "I'm sorry you had to hear like this." He added, just in case she knew him better than Christian did.
Well, at least he'd caught himself before he'd gone and seen anything too stupid.
"But! But, Ms. Monroe is his... um... porte--... protegé. Successor... person. She's the Headmistress, and even though she can be kind of--" He cut himself off... walls had ears and all that. "She's a nice lady, most of the time." He offered, before stepping out of her way - she could come in, without piledriving in to him, this way.

He pulled his hand back on seeing that she wasn't going to give him the opportunity to carry them for her. Hell, some people just didn't accept a helping hand, he could level to that. Of course, when hearing the name 'Weapon X' he had heard all to many times from Sabretooth, he'd come to understand what that name meant. He knew the tale behind it, and he did not appreciate being called it by anyone; especially a little girl that had decided to walk up just 'looking' for the professor."You better watch what you call people around here. You don't want to make enemies of anyone here. Especially me kid." He didn't know where she heard that name, and glancing over at Christian he'd recognized that state before. As much as he wanted to know exactly what was going on in the runts head, she had just arrived and gave no permission to invade her privacy.
Logan placed his hand on Christians shoulder, forcibly turning him around; giving him a soft, but apparent push forward. "C'mon kid, you're helping me today. You gotta show the new guest around." Use your powers for the benefit of others and not your own selfish curiosity. It was something that Charles Xavier would say, and it was something that was another standard for the justice the X-men fought for. Not to mention, wanting to smack a kid upside the head for being stupid and saying something they shouldn't just wasn't good 'parenting'.
"So...Laura was it? Why come to the institute? Don't have parents to bring you here; or call us? You know it's dangerous coming to private property unannounced." Had she come at night, he couldn't have promised that natural defenses they had wouldn't kick in and try to kill her. With the events of the past, they had to be installed for the safety of the kids and adults alike. There were a lot of deadly mutants out there that had no problem killing without a second thought; he knew that all too well in fact. Keeping just a step ahead of Christian, he didn't wanna look back. He was holding any anger in from her previous statement of 'Weapon X' but wasn't gonna pry.

She made sure to keep a close eye on Christian and Logan. She didn't trust either one so her instincts and senses were on alert. She noticed Christians eyes were glazed over for a moment. She thought about why his eyes would change like that, and figured it had to be his power. She wasn't stupid by any means. She had been trained in tactics and to think on her feet so she was able to adjust to Christian using his power. She didn't know what it was for sure yet, but she figured if she could surprise him by pointing out that she had noticed him using his power on him it would throw him for a loop. She followed Logan's lead and said, "So Christian what's your power? I noticed you using it a moment go or attempting to use it on me as the case may be. I figure it has something to do with precognition. You've made that obvious enough from you answering the door before I even had a chance to knock or ring the bell. True there are other options, but they are much less likely then the precognition. I'm can't help but be a little curious since I saw your eyes glaze over while looking at me."
She wondered if Christian would man up, and own up to the fact that he had at least tried to use his power on her. When Christian had announced Charles Xavier was dead she had no reaction, and said nothing. She truly didn't care if the man was alive or dead. The school was still open and she was apparently being accepted so any use he was to her was easily taken over by another. When Logan had mentioned parents she had unleashed her claws in her hands for a brief moment before realizing her anger was getting the best of her, and sheathing her claws. The wounds cause by the claws was already starting to heal. She took a deep breathe to calm herself before she spoke. "Yes Laura. My mother mentioned this place in a letter she said it was safe for mutants. I suppose she wanted me to come here perhaps attend school. I'm not sure of her reasoning really. I had no place else to go really so decided I might as well look. As for my parents my mother was killed about a month ago. My father I suppose you could say he is already here. As for it being dangerous I doubt the school could throw something at me I have not already experienced. I'm more then capable of defending myself against any enemies whether they be in this building or not."
It might seem very odd to some the nonchalant way she talked of her mother's death. She figured most people would feel sadness when talking about someone that had recently passed especially one that they themselves had murdered. Laura had finished grieving weeks ago. She had a love hate relationship with her mother, and even though most of her loved her mother the part that hated the woman dried the tears quickly.

He grinned up at her, clearly unperturbed with her calling him out. Despite how it had seemed, Chris wasn't usually the shy type, even about his ability.
"Close!" He offered, turning around so he was walking backwards, and facing the other two. "I can actually see anything I want. Future, past, all that good stuff. Wherever, too! When I get bored, I look around places, and I saw you hoppin' the fence. So I went down to meet you." He scratched his chin, figuring he should probably explain himself. Easily, he stepped over a wrinkle in the rug that might have sent him sprawling, otherwise.
"When you called Logan "Weapon X", I figured I should probably figure out why you know him by that name, so I started to look back." He shrugged. "But... I usually don't do that kind of stuff 'cause... well... everyone's allowed to have their secrets." He shoved his hands in the back of his pockets, though, when the claws popped out, he jumped, obviously kind of startled.
Kind of being a really poor descriptor - he stumbled mid-step, and might have fallen over had he not reached for the wall to steady himself.
"I stopped myself before I went too far. Privacy's important, you know?"
He kept walking, though he spun around again, so that he was walking forward once more.
"Oh wow." He said, keeping his voice under his breath. She popped out claws - like, the scary murderclaws kind of thing. The only other person he knew with claws like that... well, was walking with him. Had even commissioned him to help with the tour-ing part of the introductions.
