Well, the tittle says it all. We all have personal favorites but the purpose of the thread is to narrow it down to three. And it would be really appreciated if you gave a particular reason as to why he/she is your favorite. You don't have to come up with three, if you have only one favorite then by all means.
1.) Jean Grey - my number one spot would definitely go to her. I just see her as the way comic-writers have pictured her. Her powers have so many uses and possibilities. Her personality matches mine, being the rather laid back bookish type. What I didn't like though was how they incorporated the phoenix. It seemed to be the focus of attention and the fact that they've reincarnated her one too many times. That and they destroyed her in X3
2.) Gambit - Who wouldn't love the Cajun womanizer? I've liked his personality ever since day one. His fun loving and action seeking attitude appealed to me from the very start. That and he has one of the coolest and unique powers.
3.) Rogue(comic and anime version) - Next to Gambit's accent would be Rogue's Texan drawl. The way she always seems to stand back up with the constant challenges is remarkable. And her strength is WOW. XD Of course, the attitude!
They're my top 3. Who're yours?

Alright, here's my three:
1) Magneto - Magneto is virtually unstoppable and when he's not all genocidal, he's not really the villain he's supposed to be. Magneto knows what he has to do to get the job done and isn't afraid to do it. I see a lot of suffering within Magneto and really see the truth in his character. He is what he is because he's human and instead of becoming all moral because he has powers, he's choosing to do what most of us would do, get revenge.
2) Kurt Wagner - I love the way he looks and his powers are so cool. Kurt is true to himself and strives really hard to maintain his beliefs in a world that hates him. Kurt brings that moral compass to the X-men that they need.
3) Mystique - Mystique has to rely on subterfuge and guile to get the job done. She's a jack of all trades and can take down just about any of the X-Men before they know what hit them. No optic blasts, mind control, super strength or speed, just old fashioned butt kicking.

Rogue- I love how she's all sassy. She never backs down and I just love it when she argues with Remy. She's Great! and I wish she had more show time in the movies.
Gambit- Love the accent, Love the Trench Coat, and the cards. He's just made of awesome! Since the 90's cartoon he's always been a minor character on the screen. They so should have put him in the movies!
Logan- I really like how he's such a tough guy but he really cares about the kids at the school. (ex. Rogue & Kitty, etc.) I also love all the sarcasm we get from him. Once more, another character made of awesome!

Let's see... my top 3 favorite X-Men characters, are...
1. Wolverine/Logan. Primarily because of the personality... The devil-may-care attitude when it comes to fighting... and the fact the he is usually a pain in the b*** for Cyclops... ;D
2. Havok/Alex Summers. He is not as perfect as his brother, Scott... and of course, he has a life outside of his superhero costume...
3. Polaris/Lorna Dane. Could she be far behind when talking about her boyfriend??? Like Havok, Polaris is also not perfect, and those imperfections make her more human... and also the life outside of her superhero costume...

Erik Lehnsherr//Magneto. As far as villians go, he is [in my opinion] one of the greatest comic book villians ever created. Not only is he incredibly powerful and skilled with his mutation, his history also makes it difficult to simply hate him. The character is one that's actually been developed over the years.
Jonas Graymalkin//Graymalkin. Though newer, I think Graymalkin has potential to become a rather interesting character, so long as the writers use him and don't screw him up. Also the fact that he's Xavier's ancestor is pretty cool.
Molly Hayes//Princess Powerful (or Bruiser). Technically Molly isn't a member of the X-Men though she is a mutant in the Marvel universe and briefly went to Xavier's School. She's managed to rip Cloak's cloak off, bring the Punisher to his knees, and throw Wolverine out through a church window, and she's only twelve. That's just awesome and it makes me laugh.
