Bobby came back to the table with two glasses of soda, refills he'd asked for for himself and Rogue. Tonight he'd been asked by Christian to take him, Rogue, and a new student to the school, Cassidy Blaine, out to pizza. Part of it was because Bobby and Chris had gotten into a small fight involving a bowl of Cheerios that had ended with the Cheerios encased in ice.
Needless to say Bobby had ended up owing the future-seeing mutant and this had been the request. Cassidy had be a last minute add on to the trip, though with all things considered the young girl was proving to be an interesting kid when you gave her the chance. She was new too, so they were helping make the transition easier no doubt.
"Ok," he said as he slid back into his seat. "I asked and our pizza will be here in a few minutes. Until then I guess we sit back and get to know each other a little better. I mean, heck if you want to get technical, Anna and I don't even know Christian that well yet."
He glanced at the blond girl, Cassidy. "So, you live here in the city. How did your family take the news? I mean, at least your close if nothing else, right?"

Cassidy sat in the pizza parlor on one side of a booth next to Christian. On the other side sat two other students from Xavier's who were also full fledged members of the X-Men, Bobby Drake and Anna Marie, also known as Iceman and Rogue. She was kind of surprised she'd been invited along on this trip. Christian was being really nice to her, trying to help her fit in and even introducing her to two people who, she figured, were his friends. It was a big change from how things had been at the start of the day, not really where she'd expected to find herself at this time. But she never could have expected that sentinel attack, not even knowing that she was a mutant until she'd been saved by Christian and Logan.
Bobby came back to the table, telling them the pizza would be here in a little while. Then he turned and started speaking directly to her, trying to learn a little bit about her. Cassidy kind of frowned at his choice of topic. The conversation between Cassidy, her parents, and Ororo Munroe had not gone exceedingly well. "My parents are some of the people who view mutation as a problem or a disease. They were.... less than thrilled to learn I was a mutant. Also to learn that mutation was passed paternally since both my cousins are related to me through my dad." She sighed, knowing how worried they were that Cody or Tyler could be mutants too. "Chris looked to see already. My cousin Tyler is human, but he's related through his mom so that makes sense. Cody is related through is dad too, and he's got a dormant mutant gene. I didn't tell my parents about it though. My uncle Matt and aunt Tess will understand when the time comes. They're a lot more accepting about this sort of thing. Same for Tyler's parents if it had come to him being one too."
Cassidy shook her head. "For now I'm not going to worry about it. I'm close enough to help when Cody's mutant gene starts to act up, and I'm safe rather than wherever those sentinels take the mutants they capture. Those are the important things.

Despite the unfortunate Cheerios incident - Bobby didn't much like being a target, and Chris was having too much fun despite his arm brace - things had worked out well enough. The four of them were relaxing at a pizza parlour, and he was more than a little glad that Bobby had agreed to let Cassidy come along. He'd Seen - though it was sort of a violation of privacy - the whole thing go down. He remained silent about it, of course, but, still. He knew what the end result would be.
He'd winced at the thought, before leaning back away from the table. He was a relatively patient kid - well, okay. A lie, but, that wasn't the point - he would wait just as patiently as everyone else for the pizza, despite his own rumbling stomach. He hadn't eaten all day, with all that excitement. Cheerios had been the high point of his day. Well, that and saving the girl.
Turning to glance at her, he had to smile at the positive outlook she had. She was right - at least when push came to shove, they had eyes on Cody. Literally. He would be checking on him once a day, every day. Though he would probably be looking in on his future, as well. That was the safest route of keeping him safe.
For now, he'd sit in relative silence. He was not feeling particularly in tune with the familial aspect of conversation, and so, his eyes would be turned to other things. The various decorations, the different pictures, and of course, the big screen TV, currently scrawling the news. Nothing interesting was on, so his attention flicked elsewhere - the conversation at hand.
"In other news, two Sentinels were seen in this local neighbourhood, where three unregistered mutants seem to be evading the machines. No civilians were hurt in the altercation, though, no identities were confirmed. We have footage from the Channel Five Traffic Cam -"
The woman's voice cut off, as the fight that Cassidy, Christian, and Logan had been apart of unfolded. Luckily, their faces were not visible... but that was the only lucky point. Logan, dismembering was a perfectly amusing sight.
Of course, Chris wasn't paying attention to the TV any more.
