First off, before you start jumping into conclusions, I would like to make it clear that Mutant Class doesn't determine the outcomes of a battle. Simply being strong isn't good enough as there are plenty of ways that lower classed mutants can take on and beat higher classed mutants. Another thing to take in mind is that other mutants can be categorized into two categories such as Jean Grey for she is a Class 4 in terms of her own power and her connection to the Phoenix Force makes her the ultimate Class 5. Just the same she is termed as a Class 5 and only higher leveled ones can be classified to a lower one. Meaning a Class 4 can be a Class 2 but a Class 2 can never be a Class 4
Now for the classifications:
Class 1
Mutants belonging into this spectrum have physically manifested traits that separate them from the usual humans. They possess a physical attribute, or a flaw if you will, that is virtually useless. It may be horns, blue skin or a snake tongue but as earlier stated, with no apparent use.
Class 2
Contrary to the Class 1 mutations, the physical manifestations of this mutants exhibit uses that are characteristic to their form. Examples would be wings the permit an individual to fly, snake fangs that secrete venom, or gills that permit breathing underwater. Sometimes, mutants under Class 2 and Class 1 exhibit multiple mutations.[Example: Angel]
Class 3
This classification involve those with psionic powers, energy/element controlling powers and such powers that permit the manipulation of facets outside the metaphysical plane. This would include telepaths, telekinetics and elementals but with considerably less control of their powers. This category also houses mutants with subconscious control over their powers, rendering them incapable of using it whenever they want to or to its full extent. [Example: Cyclops, Rogue, Pyro]
Class 4
Basically the same with the class 3 mutants but with more control. Apart from the mastery on their powers, some mutants exhibit abilities that are unattainable by Class 3 mutants such as igniting fire out of thin air or drawing moisture from the same source to create water. [Professor Xavier, Storm, Iceman]
NOTE: Not all can become class 4 mutants. We will basically base it on your app. Whether you'll gain it RP-wise or instantly depends on the staff.
Class 5
The cream of the crop. Mutants who excel and overstepped the boundaries of the metaphysical plane. Their powers are so destructive that it usually results into problems such as psychological and other problems. But just the same, being in this classification grants you the power to influence everything in a universal level.
Note: Class 5 mutants will be determined by the staff and the members by RP or character progress. Don't even try to put this in your app or you'll be rejected. Plain and simple. Besides, we don't want to wreck the world do we? At least not yet ^_^
